Caesar Couture, the bespoke men’s clothing line based in Lagos – Nigeria, has finally launched their Spring Summer 2016 collection and no one can stop talking about it!

But first, let me tell you a little bit about the company behind this collection. The brand “Caesar Couture” is known for exquisite tailoring services and refined design silhouettes of tuxedos, patterned suits, single breasted and double-breasted suits as well as traditional clothing. It was established in the year 2000 by owner and designer, Esosa Ogedegbe (popularly known as Caesar) because of his love for fashion and bespoke clothing (custom-made clothing). The label currently makes clothing for men, but Caesar shared with us that they have plans to diversify into female clothing in the near future.

It is a well-known fact that the Nigerian fashion industry has grown extensively and it is always refreshing to find a label that is able to maintain its high standards and serve both local and international clients. When I asked Caesar why he thought it was important for Nigeria to have a fashion label such as his, he shared that Nigerians buying made-in-Nigeria clothing is not only a sign of solidarity, but will boost their local economy, and further encourage the Nigerian fashion industry.

Sleek, suave and dapper are just a few of the words that come to mind with their new collection. This Look Book, tagged ‘Men of a Certain Age’ was inspired by 1960s British fashion with their checkered, plaid and pinstriped fabrics.

The collection is perfect for the sophisticated gentleman that wants a classic look for black-tie events, weddings and business meetings. The suits are timeless, yet incorporate some bold colours like shades of red, yellow, orange and green and can even be dressed down (when worn as a jacket) to a more casual look with sneakers and/or jeans.

Concerning their fabric choices, they sourced them from all over the world! This includes Nigeria itself, England, Dubai and India, to name a few. They also did a good job of matching suit styles with the fabric being used.

Caesar has big plans for Caesar Couture. They aim to be a household name in the fashion industry, not just in all of Africa, but beyond. They are already a few steps ahead as they currently serve clients both locally and internationally. Beyond this, they also have a ‘sister’ company called Caesar169 which specialises in the making high quality shoes for men.

I’m excited to see what the future holds for the company and even more excited to see what their subsequent collections will be like.

    1. Hi Justin. I don’t think they have a shop with ready to wear clothing. You have to contact them and they will make a bespoke/tailor-made outfit for you. According to their website you can find them on social media or call 08107000084. You can check out their website too for more contact information. It’s http://www.caesarcouture.com. I hope this is helpful!
