British Vogue’s decision to appoint Edward Enninful as their new Editor-In-Chief is a very progressive move. There is no surprise in this Ghanaian stylist’s appointment based on his DECADES of experience and change-making in fashion styling and editing. He is set to bring a fresh look and vibe for the 100 year old magazine and if you ask me, the sky is only the beginning for Edward.

This decision by Vogue will be the first time a black man, specifically an African man, will hold the coveted Editor-In-Chief position.

Edward is a Ghanaian-born, British raised stylist who previously served as Creative and Fashion Director of W Magazine and was the youngest ever Fashion Director (appointed at age 18) of i-D Magazine, a position in which he worked for over two decades. Talk about a trailblazer!

Edward is extremely gifted and talented at creating bold imagery and clearly, he’s very qualified and very deserving of his new position. I am very excited to see the new levels and the new artistic direction to which he will take British Vogue.
